John Ross Brown, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner providing comprehensive healthcare services at Southeast Medical Group's LaFayette clinic.

John was born in Tifton, Georgia, and raised in Cloudland, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Highlands College, where he made the Dean's List multiple semesters. He went on to earn his Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia and his Master of Science in Nursing with a family nurse practitioner concentration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. John was valedictorian of his high school class at Chattooga High School in 2003. He maintains active membership in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). His dual background in psychology and nursing provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the mind-body connection in healthcare.

At Southeast Medical Group's LaFayette location, John specializes in chronic disease management, helping patients effectively manage conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. He provides men's health services, addressing preventive care and conditions specific to male patients. John also offers mental health services, addressing anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders with evidence-based treatment approaches, as well as personalized weight management programs. He performs minor procedures including ingrown toenail removal, incision and drainage, skin tag removal, and suturing. John provides care for adolescents, adults, and seniors ages 13 and older, with a focus on building long-term relationships with patients and their families.

Outside of medicine, John is a lifelong learner who enjoys reading daily to improve his knowledge and skills. He stays active through resistance training and weightlifting, and he has a passion for home improvement and construction projects, having helped his father build all of their family homes growing up. John also enjoys automotive projects, performing most of his own vehicle maintenance and repairs. Most importantly, he treasures spending time with his beautiful wife Ashlee, his sassy 13-year-old stepdaughter Kylee, his spunky 2-year-old daughter Audree, and he eagerly awaits the arrival of his daughter Madalee in April. John also enjoys spending time with his three brothers, and his dedication to family reflects the compassionate, patient-centered care he provides to every family he serves.
