About Dr. James Lee, DO
Dr. James Y. Lee, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician serving patients at North Atlanta Primary Care's Duluth and Sugar Hill locations, as well as Woodstock Family Practice & Urgent Care.
Dr. Lee was born in South Korea and grew up in Michigan. He attended Michigan State University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology. After undergrad, he attended Michigan State’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed the Oakwood/Beaumont Residency Program. Dr. Lee has been in practice for over 20 years, earning multiple awards such as Doctor of the Year, Resident of the Year, and Chief Resident. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
Dr. Lee’s medical interests include joint injections, aesthetics, and treating allergies. In addition to English, Dr. Lee is fluent in Korean and currently welcomes patients from the age of 6 months to over 100 years old.
Dr. Lee enjoys a lot of different activities in his spare time. He is an outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, golfing, and going on hikes. Apart from spending time outdoors, Dr. Lee is also an avid photographer. He makes sure to put his family first and enjoys spending time with his daughter Rosalynn and his son Ryan.

Patient Satisfaction at Woodstock Family Practice & Urgent Care
I’ve been a patient of Dr. James Lee at Woodstock Family Practice & Urgent Care since I moved to Georgia in 2011 from Virginia. He and his staff are wonderful people. They go out of their way to help me. They have had growing pains over the years. Like recently, the computers and phones were down. What everyone might not know is, they had recently changed to a new system and had to work out the kinks. Anyway, what I want to say is they aren’t perfect but they take criticism very well and they always try to fix the problems when they occur. Dr . Lee personally doesn’t want any problems. I believe the phone lines and computers are back up and working fine now. It was a corporate server problem. Dr Lee is personally very sorry for any inconvenience, he told me so!! I am really happy here!!! I recommend you give them a chance. You won’t be sorry.
