Dr. Anayo Umerah, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician providing comprehensive healthcare services at North Atlanta Primary Care's Sandy Springs location.

Dr. Umerah earned her degree in Medical Sciences and her Doctor of Medicine from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Nigeria, before completing her residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She maintains active membership in both the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), reflecting her dedication to the highest standards of family medicine practice.

Dr. Umerah specializes in general primary care as well as behavioral and mental health services, helping patients navigate conditions such as anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. She provides chronic care management for conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, as well as expert migraine care and personalized weight management programs. Dr. Umerah offers a wide range of specialized services, including Botox injections for migraines and excessive sweating, hormone replacement therapy, cryotherapy for skin lesions, joint injections, mole and skin tag removals, suture removal, and select women's health services, including Pap smears.

Dr. Umerah provides care for patients ages 12 and older and is fluent in both English and Ibo.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Umerah enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations around the world, as well as cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Most of all, she treasures spending quality time with her family and friends.
