About Dr. Amy Clemons, MD

Dr. Amy D. Clemons, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician currently seeing patients at Clemons Family Practice in Statesboro, Georgia.

Dr. Clemons was born and raised in Statesboro. She attended Spelman College in Atlanta where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then completed medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine and went on to complete the Memorial Health University Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. She has been board-certified since 2006 and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, and the Medical Association of Georgia.

Dr. Clemons has been in practice for over 20 years and has special medical interests in treating obesity, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and hyperlipidemia. She is especially interested in women's health and preventive medicine. Dr. Clemons is currently welcoming patients ages 5 and up.

Dr. Clemons is an active member of St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church and enjoys traveling, watching movies, and gardening in her free time. What she enjoys most is spending time with her family, including her siblings Kimberly and Thurman and her nieces Camille and Jasmin.
