Dr. Amit S. Narayan, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician serving patients at North Atlanta Primary Care's West Paces clinic in Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Narayan is an Atlanta native. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with Honors and a Minor in Spanish from the University of Georgia before pursuing his Doctor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Emory University's prestigious J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Narayan is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and maintains active membership in the American College of Physicians (ACP). He is the recipient of the Mercer University School of Medicine "Physician's Physician" award, elected by his physician colleagues as the one whom they would entrust to care for themselves and their loved ones. Previously, Dr. Narayan served as an academic hospitalist on faculty at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, where he mentored resident physicians and medical students as a clinician educator and served as past chair of the Mount Sinai Systemwide Pneumonia Task Force Committee. He has conducted clinical research in colorectal cancer, resulting in a published manuscript in Cancer as well as several book chapters.

Dr. Narayan helps patients effectively manage complex conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses. Additionally, he provides mental health services, addressing anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders with evidence-based treatment approaches. Dr. Narayan also offers personalized weight management programs tailored to individual patient goals and needs. He provides care for adult and senior patients ages 17 and older, with a focus on preventive medicine and comprehensive internal medicine care that addresses the whole patient.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Narayan enjoys playing percussion and staying active through tennis. His dedication to continuous learning and his commitment to clinical excellence ensure that every patient receives compassionate, expert care rooted in the latest medical evidence.
