Alyssa was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. She completed her bachelor's degree at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. Alyssa completed her medical training and Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Emory University School of Medicine.

Alyssa's medical interests include preventative medicine and women's health. She is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants (GAPA).

Alyssa enjoys hiking, visiting the BeltLine, volunteering, and exploring the city of Atlanta in her spare time.
