Dana Free, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner serving patients at Bear Creek Family Practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Dana was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. She attended the University of Alabama – Birmingham (UAB) before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Samford University.

With a primary focus on family medicine, Dana addresses the healthcare needs of patients of all ages. She is also adept at performing pap smears and emphasizes women’s health.

Outside the clinic, Dana is actively engaged in teaching and leadership roles at the Church of the Highlands. In her spare time, she finds joy in writing books and partakes in outdoor activities with her husband Brandon and their children, Braeden and Kendall.
