Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Service Representative at Southeast Medical Group, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and checking in/out patients in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner
- Collecting co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issuing receipts
- Scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and managing medical records
- Assisting with patient outreach and communication, such as next-day appointment reminders
- Maintaining the organization and integrity of medical files, both physical and electronic
- Providing exceptional customer service to all patients, visitors, and healthcare team members
In addition to these core duties, you may also be asked to:
- Process walk-in patients and visitors
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with scheduling
- Contribute to patient engagement and retention efforts
- Support the training and onboarding of new PSR team members
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination
- Assist with special projects or administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:
To thrive as a Patient Service Representative at Southeast Medical Group, you should possess the following qualifications:

- 1+ years of related experience in a medical office or customer service role
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
