Born and raised in South Carolina, she obtained her ADN from OC Technical College in 1992. Rennie worked in a small rural hospital, where she took on various roles including labor and delivery nurse, ER nurse, and floor nurse. It was during this time that she realized her desire to do more.

In 1995, Rennie earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina in Aiken, followed by her Master's degree from the University of South Carolina Columbia Campus in 1998, becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She then worked at Barnwell Pediatrics for 16 years before relocating to Georgia in 2014. In addition to her clinical work, Rennie taught nursing at the University of South Carolina and pursued a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2013 to enable her to teach other Nurse Practitioners. Since 2014, she has been teaching in both the Masters and Doctoral Degree Programs at South University.

Rennie believes in lifelong learning and discovers something new every day. Her practice philosophy is to treat every patient as she would want her loved ones to be treated, using evidence-based practice guidelines. Happily married with seven children and soon-to-be nine grandchildren, Rennie enjoys traveling, planning trips for others, crafting, painting, reading, and hunting in her free time. A dedicated Gamecock football fan, she remains faithful to her alma mater. Rennie has a particular interest in women’s health, diabetes education, and weight loss management, finding great reward in seeing patients transform into healthier versions of themselves.
